Hi all, I thought this was an interesting story:

Some assumptions I had to make from this story: The Philadelphia Museum of Art deaccessioned (although that term is not used) two painting for the express purpose of selling...and it never occurred to me that they could not sell the painting themselves, but have to go through an art dealer...and it appears they remained under the same insurance as though they were hanging in the museum? And just like a lot of types of insurance, they will find a loophole to not pay out. And always research your art dealer, perhaps. Or just keep the paintings.
Kathy needs to find that missing painting!
